• Understand the benefits of aquatic exercise in order to communicate well with clients
• Understand the properties of water and how to best utilize them in an aquatics environment
• Review and understand general principles of anatomy and kinesiology in order to understand basic body movement and its application in an aquatic environment
• Design an aquatics program using the AquaLogix Fitness System using the concepts of format, warm-up, flexibility/aerobic segment, strength (or power) segment, and speed segment
• Understand the need for appropriate aquatic clothing and equipment considering air and water temperature, pool conditions, and safety.
• Understand the principles of frequency, intensity, duration, and type and apply them to an AquaLogix aquatics class
• Review information on muscular strength and endurance exercises and understand the importance of communicating these concepts to your exercise classes.
